Hi-tech cleaning equipment to be deployed for Udaipur
Udaipur Municipal Corporation has begun its initiative on deploying hi-tech cleaning systems in the district. Purchase proceedings for these hi-tech equipment have commenced. This was decided in the garage committee meeting chaired by Mayor GS Tak and Dy Mayor Paras Singhvi.
President of the UMC Garage committee, Manohar Chaudhary said that the garage committee meeting was held after a long time due to the ongoing COVID lockdown. It was decided to procure 3 loaders initially for sewage and garbage from the streets.
It was also decided that the fire hose installed in the fire fighting trucks were not working as desired, hence new fire pumps will be purchased and the existing pumps will be repaired and kept for emergency situations. Fogging machines will also be purchased in the light of the ongoing COVID crisis.
These decisions were taken since the area of the Udaipur Municipality is increasing day by day and equipment and manpower needs have to be addressed. Dy Mayor Paras Singhvi said that no work should be held back or stopped for want of equipment or manpower and the that UMC executive will arrange for the funding as required.
