A hotel in Brahmapole area has been declared illegal by the court. As per reports, the hotel was illegally constructed on residential land. The concerned party did not apply for the conversion of this residential plot before constructing hotel. The hotel may be demolished soon.

Monsoon palace hotel in Brahmapole area was constructed illegally. As per notice given by Municipal Corporation, the residential area was being used for commercial purposes without conversion of land which is against rules. The corporation stated that any land can be used only as per the master plan. Based on this the concerned party was given a notice by Commissioner of Municipal Corporation under Section 194, 182 on 25th January 2018. As per corporation’s lawyer, owners of Monsoon Palace Hotel did not respond to the notice, instead challenged the notice in the court and demanded a stay on corporation’s notice.  Lawyer Ashok Singhvi stated that the hotel construction is illegal; hence there cannot be a stay on corporation’s notice. Based on these facts, court rejected the plea of hotel owners.
