UIT gave 15 days notice to the management of lake side situated Hotel Sheraton (aka Rockwood or Radisson Blu) to remove the illegal construction and encroachment.

Under the instruction of UIT Secretary Ramniwas Mehta, the Officer issued the notice and ordered the hotel management to remove the illegal construction and encroachment on the government land within the next 15 days or else UIT will take actions.

It is to consider that previously, UIT had issued notice to the Hotel thrice before but the Hotel had taken shelter under High Court who had dismissed all the writs post which the Hotel Management had placed a special appeal, which recently got rejected.

According to the notice issued by the UIT, 3600 sq meter encroachment, 60 ft wide road and 371 sq meter illegal construction needs to be removed. Also, with the permission for G+2, the hotel illegally constructed G+4.
