All the pet animals in the city will be provided free tags for their identification. The tag less stray animals found on the streets will be taken to the kine house.

After complaints over obstruction of smooth traffic due of stray animals on the road, UIT in collaboration with district administration has taken this step in which all pet animals will be put a tag for identification purpose.

Collector Ashutosh A.T Pednekar informed that name of the owner and contact number will be provided on the tags. This is a strict initiative against those who leave their cows and cattle astray on the roads.

The tag less animals, if found on the road will be directly taken to the kine house. 15 days time is given to the animal owners to put tags at veterinary hospital, Chetak Circle. Those with a large number of cattle can ask the concerned officials to visit home and get the tags.
