Illegally Constructed Shops Seized at Bhopalpura
In a drive to minimize illegal construction around town, Anti Encroachment squad of Udaipur Municipal Corporation ceased three shops in a newly constructed complex at Bhopalpura locality, these shops was built in the parking space of the complex.
In a drive to minimize illegal construction around town, Anti Encroachment squad of Udaipur Municipal Corporation seized three shops in a newly constructed complex at Bhopalpura locality, these shops was built in the parking space of the complex.
Today in a raid carried out to seize illegal construction, the anti encroachment squad closed down three shops in the newly constructed Mewar Complex at Bhopalpura. Stating that all three shops were illegally raised in a space meant for vehicle parking, this was the only action taken by the squad throughout the day, neglecting hundreds of other such illegal constructions across city.
According to sources, the previous board led by Ravindra Shrimali, Ex-Chairmen, Municipal Council had seized around 300 illegal constructions. While, under the leadership of Rajni Dangi, Mayor, Municipal Corporation the numbers are far too low, moreover all those illegal construction that were seized, were later legalized by the officials, added sources.
Satyanarayan Acharya, Commissioner, UMC said, “I had given orders of seizing the shops after consulting with Mayor”. Commissioner also mentioned that there are some more similar cases that are awaiting consideration.
