The last date for submission of applications towards NOC for ground water use has been extended to 31st May 2017, for industries or projects that are using ground water directly for their work.

A notice was issued by the National Green Tribunal and Central Ground Water Authority under Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, on 1st January 2017, instructing all industries or projects that are using ground water, to submit applications for NOC latest by 31st March 2017.

Some of the industry associations had requested for extending the date of the applications, which had been considered and an extension of two months had been provided.  Accordingly, the last date is 31st May 2017 for submitting the application for NOC.

This extension is final and binding and non compliance to the said date will render the concerned industry/project responsible for non-compliance to the directions of the honorable National Green Tribunal and Central Ground Water Authority.  Necessary action will then be taken for defaulters, as per an intimation by the Ministry.
