Construction of the slighly elevated bridge opposite UIT gate will provide huge relief during monsoon. Earlier, during overflow at Fateh Sagar and Swaroop Sagar, the bridge used to be flooded with as much as 4 ft water and traffic had to be stopped. The new bridge is much higher and will continue providing smooth traffic services even during monsoon.
Only the laying of tar road on the constructed bridge is remaining and this should not take long. Considering the CM’s potential visit for inauguration of the passport office, UIT Chairman Ravindra Shrimali is eyeing the opportunity for getting the UIT bridge also inaugurated at the CM’s hands.
The bridge construction project was conceptualised in February last year and is set to provide much relief in monsoon to people travelling from Chetak Circle, Panchwati, Daitya magri and going towards Saheliyon ki Bari.
