Indefinite lockdown imposed in Rajsamand-Nathdwara | Third zone in Udaipur division to come under lockdown

With 827 COVID cases in Rajsamand district, 200 of them in the first 13 days of August; the necessity of imposiing a lockdown is justified. Bhinder and Kherwara were the other two zones in Udaipur division where lockdown has been imposed once again.

As the number of cases in the upcountry areas of Udaipur division rise exponentially, the District Collector of Rajsamand has imposed a lockdown across the entire Nathdwara – Rajsamand district.

This lockdown will be in effect from 11am on 15 August. Section 144 will be imposed in the entire district encompassing Nathdwara and Rajsamand. The entire district has been declared a containment zone. The number of cases at the time of publishing this post is 827. The positive cases have more than doubled in the last 30 days.

Effective 11 am on 15 August, all rules and regulations as mentioned in the directives issued by the Ministry of Home and Ministry of Health and Family Affairs of the Government of India will be applicable.

Emergency medical services and essential services will be permitted as per the protocol. The sub divisional magistrates in the district will define the services that will be allowed and the functioning procedures of these services.

The District Collector of Rajsamand, Arvind Poswal has instructed the SDMs of both Nathdwara and Rajsamand to ensure strict compliance of the orders.
