Pollution Control Board has issued a six month timeframe to hospitals in Udaipur, with 50 or more beds, to deploy their own Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).

Previously, Hospitals with 100 or more bed needed to adhere to this guideline, but from now on, Hospitals with 50 or more beds will have to install their own STP.  Till now, hospitals were operating under common STP.

As per information, 17 Hospitals in the District fall under this guideline.  Currently only Geetanjali Hospital (GMCH), GBH American Hospital and Narayan Seva Sansthan have their own STP.

MB Hospital, Pannadhay Women Hospital, TB Hospital, Chaudhary Hospital, Mewar Orthopedic, Community Health Center, Kalpana Nursing Home and Satellite Hospital are few where STP is needed in their own campus.
