-The inspection committes must present reports every fortnight.

-Action must be taken against illegal constructions immediately.

Illegal constructions are taking place every now and then. Despite the fact that some areas have been declared as no-construction zones, people are still overstepping law and continuing with encroachments.

Collector Chetan Devda held a meeting of the inspection/surveillance committee meant to keep a check on illegal constructions in Udaipur city. Directives were issued to deal with illegal constructions very strictly. The collector also stated that if illegal constructions are carried out, the surveillance or the inspection committee will be held responsible.

All committees have been directed to take strict action immediately. The inspection committees are to maintain a good alliance between them and work on keeping control on illegal constructions. Lakeside constructions are prohibited, hence strict action must be taken and reports must be presented every fortnight in the meetings held for this purpose.

Before the meeting that was held on Thursday, the UIT team inspected the sites of Mastan baba shrine, Devali and even took action against a few illegal constructions happening around this area. Those present in the meeting were land acquisition officer Var Singh, SE Sanjeev Sharma, SE Municipal Corporation Mukesh Pujari, Girva Tehsildar Yuvraj Kaushik, UIT AEN Chatar Singh, RI Ganpat Sharma and Babu Laal.
