The traders of Jagdish Chowk, Bhatiyani Chohatta and Gangaur Ghat will demolish the encroachment in their area in the next 7 days.

Businessmen with shops in areas of ward 10 including Jagdish Chowk, City Palace Road, Lal Ghat, Naav Ghat, Gangaur Ghat and Bhatiyani Chohatta presided over a meeting on Sunday after which they took this decision.

Corporator and President of Anti-encroachment wing of Nagar Nigam Devendra Jawaliya said that encroachment is a major problem in these tourist inflicted areas. The members have pleaded the Nagar Nigam to complete the work of public toilets at Asind ki Haveli and restrict two-wheeler in Jagdish Chowk area.

In the present scenario, the handicraft shops put the items for display outside the shop premises. Many a times, a jam is witnessed leading to arguments on the streets.

During the meeting, traders including corporator Ganpat Soni, Pankaj Bhandari, Ambalal Bohra, Subhash Singh, Dinesh Makwana, Former corporator Mohan Devi, Bhanwarlal Suhalka and Govind Soni were present.
