The flight route between Jaipur and Udaipur closed for the last 3 years is expected to open soon. The ministry and the airport authority seem to be working on the proposal.

Civil Aviation Minister Mahesh Sharma has approved the proposal. After the initiative by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swraj, both MPs Arjun lal Meena and CP Joshi of Udaipur and Chittor, respectively held talks with both the ministers and confirmed the report.

Udaipur’s collector Rohit Gupta held talks with the authority officials at the airport. The authority informed that Air India and Jet Airways, Tata Singapore’s Vistara and Indigo Airlines are considered. Out of these, Vistara and Indigo are waiting for green light to operate flights between Udaipur-Jaipur.
