The District Administration has started Lake Patrolling squad in association with Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) and Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC). The squad will be taking action against illegal constructions near lakes and measures to stop lake pollution.

According to Ashutosh A.T Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur, “Lake patrolling squad will comprise of Home Guards, Officials from UIT and UMC will patrol around lakes and will take respective action against illegal constructions around lake and washing clothes in lake.”

Pednekar also added, “To start with, only one squad has been organized, while the number of squad will be added as per future requirement. The squads will patrol everyday between 8 AM to 8 PM and present a daily work report.”
