LED lights will brighten up city roads much before Deepawali festival. The decision was taken on Wednesday in a meeting of Municipal Corporation.

Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari held a meeting with Electricity Committee on Wednesday. Committee President Mahesh Trivedi said that the proposal of installing LED lights in the city will soon be taken into action. The city roads will be brightened with LED lights much ahead of the festival of Deepawali. It was decided that Chinese lights will not be entertained at all under any circumstances.

Trivedi also said that the fountains in Gulab Bagh will be operated on the basis of annual contracts. Installing CCTV cameras at parking area and cleanliness of Gulab Bagh are some more points that were discussed. Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari said that supply and fixing of CCTV should be done under Smart City project.

The other decisive points of the meeting were:

Surajpole crossing would be developed only after making elevated road.

Buying bikes for moving around for inspection of various works being done under Municipal Corporation.

To carry out tender process for all parks which fall under wards and need electricity.

Ornamental poles and electricity requirements will be observed in Manikyalal Verma Park.

Permanent electricity decorations to be done in Municipal Corporation office and Town Hall.

Old stuff from the electrical branch will be auctioned.
