Lightning struck a house at Surajpol, while another fragile dwelling at Ayad has been demolished by Udaipur Municipal Council for security reasons.

Following the heavy thunderstorm, a house at Surajpol clutched into lightning that caused damages to the house, however no fatalities have been reported.

House of Omprakash Paneri, at Satya Narayan Marg, Amal Ka Kanta, Surajpol, has been partially hurt due to lightning that occurred at 12:30pm.

While talking to the media, Archana Sharma, Counselor, Ward No. 42, said, “Omprakash’ s house is located just behind the Surajpole Police Station. When lightning hit the house, one of its window overhangs fell, while its boundary wall collapsed and laid its debris in neighbor’s compound”.

In another incident, a house at Ayad area has been demolished by Municipal Council after been reported that the house might fall down anytime, because of its bad condition.

Manish, Assistant Engineer from Udaipur Municipal Council informed UT via phone that, a house of Rooplal Babel located on the main road of Ayad has been demolished by UMC team. The house was already in a devastated condition.
