Noticing the increasing crime rates on State and National Highways, Excise Department has decided to shut down liquor shops situated within 150 meters from highway roads.

District Excise Officer Santosh Kumar said, “The orders have been passed by Excise Commissioner and an inspection is done by the team. We have selected the liquor shops and will remove them soon.”

There are 921 liquor shops situated on different highways across Udaipur and nearby districts.
