Rajasthan Election 2026: Check List of Valid Photo IDs to Cast Vote

Election Commission warns of action against impersonators under Section 172 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita

Udaipur, Sept 9, 2026 - According to a State Election Commission directive, photo ID is mandatory to cast vote and eligible voters for the ongoing Nagar Nigam and Panchayati Raj elections in Rajasthan can use any one of the following documents to cast their vote if they are not carrying a Voter ID card:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Viksit Bharat — Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G)/MGNREGA Card
  • Photo Passbook issued by a bank or post office
  • Health Insurance Smart Card/Ayushman Bharat Health Card issued under a scheme of the Ministry of Labour
  • Driving licence
  • PAN Card
  • Indian passport
  • Photo pension document
  • Photo identity card issued to employees by the Central or State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Public Limited Companies
  • Official identity card issued to Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assemblies
  • UDID (Unique Disability ID) card

Additionally, if the head of a family possesses any of the above ID, other family members may also be allowed to vote if their identity is established by the head of the family.

Voters must, however, ensure that any document presented at the polling booth is within its prescribed validity period.
