Mayor faces issues after set up of LED Lights
In regards to installation of LED Lights in the city, BJP Sunder Singh Bhandari Mandal’s 9 ward corporators raised questions to the Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari on Thursday. He was allegedly accused of not monitoring the lighting company.

BJP corporators stated in the meeting that at many places, the LED lights have been installed right in the middle of trees’ branches whereas they should have been trimmed before the set up. Many LED lights are not in working conditions as well. Issues were raised in relation to work by contractors.
Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari and Lighting System Committee’s President Mahesh Trivedi said that there could be possibility of mistakes in the first stage of work. Prof Rajendra Bordia, Devnarayan Dhabhai and Siddharth Sharma were present in the meeting.
It is to consider that the lighting company will install 28,700 LED lights across the city that will also include in colonies and on dividers.
On the other hand, penalty was issued against the contractors immediately after the meeting. For the complaints related to street lights off, penalty was issued to Shanker Electric (Rs. 10,050), Jai Electricals (Rs. 2,000), Vinayak Enterprises (Rs. 2,000) and Prakash Light house (Rs. 16,000) for the month of May & June.
