More than 300 challans in 2 days-10 bikes seized

Too many incidents of bike theft resulted in police becoming active in their checking campaign. More than 300 challans were made in 2 days and 10 bikes were seized in the process. Police became hawk-eyed when it came to over speeding. People who were found over-speeding were held back by police teams who checked relevant documents of the bike riders. Around 300 plus people were fined in the absence of documents and licenses.

Bikes are being stolen every now and then from Hathipole, Madhuban, Hospital area, Chetak Circle, Shastri Circle, Court Circle, Surajpole and many other areas. Many suspects were arrested which included suspects who were in the police list. When there was no success in this process, police began checking vehicles at various corners of the city. On Monday, police issued fine of 17,200 rupees against 155 two-wheelers and on Tuesday around 150 vehicles were issued challans. Every choraha of the city could be seen crowded with two-wheelers who were stopped by police for checking. Police seized 10 bikes which were on road wherein the riders did not have relevant documents and licenses.
