One of the top tourist spots of Udaipur, Moti Magri is declared as No-Plastic & No-Tobacco Zone from today. Tourists will be prohibited to visit the place carrying plastic bags and/or tobacco products and all eateries running inside Moti Magri premises are also ordered to abide by the regulations.

One of the top tourist spots of Udaipur, Moti Magri is declared as No-Plastic & No-Tobacco Zone from today. Tourists will be prohibited to visit the place carrying plastic bags and/or tobacco products and all eateries running inside Moti Magri premises are also ordered to abide by the regulations.

The beautiful garden and giant statue of Maharana Pratap on this serene hill will be a completely carbon free environment. The initiative was taken by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, the newly elected President of Maharana Pratap Smarak Samiti (MPSS).

Lakshyaraj Singh expressed that it is a need of the hour to protect our lakes and environment, and for that not only the tourists, but also the food stall owners around Bambaiya Bazaar at Lake Fateh Sagar should slash the use of plastic.

Yudhveer Singh Shaktawat, Secretary of MPSS said that at first they will spread awareness among visitors about the hazard of using plastic; the management has installed sign boards all over the place and later on we might also fine the offender.

The first meeting of administrative committee was held on Tuesday 6th Nov. Committee inclusive of officials and employees of MPSS welcomed the newly elected president Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar.

Welcome ceremony was attended by Sajjan Singh Ranawat, S. P. Rathod, Raj Rana Gunwant Singh Jhala, Gaj Singh Mehta, Iqbal Sagar, H. R. Tyagi, Prof. Vijay Lakshmi Chouhan, Manohar Singh Mehta, Prof. K. S. Gupta and Jayant Rajguru.
