A hi-tech Traffic booth with revolving platform, sound system etc., which had been installed at the Delhi Gate circle has landed in a police control room after it was removed by the Udaipur Municipal Corporation for not taking prior permission.
The booth was first installed on Sunday for test but when the Corporation came to know, they forcefully removed it as the company, which in association of police department made these booths didn’t take prior permission from Udaipur Municipal Corporation.
The company, Ever Green Media has surveyed and pointed out a few ‘dense traffic’ circles of the city where these traffic booths were planned to be installed.
The feature of revolving platform and amplifier to announce traffic related messages was supposed to help the traffic cops to control the situation easily.
Rajni Dangi, Mayor of the city said, “They (the company) should take the Corporation’s permission before installing the booth.”
On this issue, D.S.P (Traffic) Mahendra Singh said that they will discuss the matter with the Corporation in the next meeting and will try to install the booth soon.
