In a recent announcement made by the Mayor of Udaipur, all the Corporators of the Municipal Corporation will receive an Identification Card.  This ID card will be legal proof that the card holder is appointed as part of the Municipal Corporation.

According to the Mayor Rajni Dangi, the purpose behind giving the ID Card is to provide a distinct document, which can be used as and when required, though the Mayor also pointed out that it is an official certificate which does not in anyway reflect the superiority of the Corporator over the general residents of the city.

The Mayor further informed that in case of any public nuisance, the Corporator will be treated as a common man.  No illegal involvement using the ID card will be tolerated by the Municipal Corporation.
