Nagar Nigam has invited tender for the treatment of the solid waste that accumulates in the city. The Solid Waste Treatment plant is situated at Balicha on 4 hectare land at PPP corner for which the tender document has been prepared.

Nagar Nigam has invited tender for the treatment of the solid waste that accumulates in the city. The Solid Waste Treatment plant is situated at Balicha on 4 hectare land at PPP corner for which the tender document has been prepared.

According to Chandra Singh Kothari, the company will be provided the land for 20 years. The project is estimated to be of around Rs. 20 crore. The tender process will complete by March.

On the basis of the agreement, the corporation will accumulate the stipulated amount of waste and bring to the land. This will reduce the number of days the containers are not kept empty. In the plant, daily 90-250 tonne of waste will be treated which in turn will be made into compost and palette.
