Nagar Nigam will now focus on renovating and maintaining the parks situated in various colonies. Either Nagar Nigam will take care for their beautification or give them to the development committees. 

Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari said that there are total 199 parks in colonies and public places. The development committee will be given Rs. 2000, Rs. 2500 and Rs. 3000 per month based on the size of the park. On a contract basis, Rs. 30 Lacs has been finalized.

Nagar Nigam has justified this decision saying that at times, despite of high rates, the work order has to be issued to the contractors who sometimes do not come under the tender. The money remains untouched despite of being issued in the budget.

In this context, if Nagar Nigam adopts the park or gives to development committee, much of the money will be saved and many parks will transform, as well.
