In a meeting held at Nagar Nigam regarding the problems of drinking water, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari asked officials to become strict towards people using illegal water connections.

In a meeting held at Nagar Nigam regarding the problems of drinking water, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari asked officials to become strict towards people using illegal water connections.

“People with legal connection are facing low pressure of water, whereas there is no fear among people using illegal connections or boosters,” said Kothari.

He suggested that with the help of police force, illegal connections should be uprooted and notices should be handed over to people using boosters. If people using booster do not obey, their connections will be cancelled.

Durgesh Kumar, Irrigation Department stated, “To replace old pipelines in the city, installing pipeline in small areas and to construct new small water reservoirs, fund of Rs. 10 Crore is required yearly.”
