Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari and Commissioner Himmat Singh Barhath took a decision by transferring 68 workers from Construction Department to Park Department. This initiative was taken in an attempt to reconstruct and beautify the parks in the city.

This is the first time where so many workers were shifted in one department. So far, in the 55 wards, the total 199 parks were being handled by 30 workers. With this step, more labor would come in force to bring a change in the appearance of the parks.

The delegates have also appealed to the corporators to take up the responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness of their wards and initiate the makeover of parks and gardens.
