Udaipur, February 4, 2025 - IAS Namit Mehta assumed the charge of District Collector of Udaipur yesterday. Prior to this, he had served as the District Collector of Bhilwara.
Mehta arrived at the Collectorate office around 3:40 pm. He was welcomed by Udaipur Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash, ADM Administration Deependra Singh, Zilla Parishad CEO Riya Dabi, ADM War Singh and other officials.
Addressing the press, the new Collector said he had worked in Udaipur in 2013 and had handed over the charge to the previous Collector during his probation period. He assured that he would work for Udaipur drawing on his past experiences.
Speaking about his priorities, Mehta said he would work to promote Udaipur's tourism, which is the city's identity, and ensure that government schemes reach the people at the grassroots level.
