PM Narendra Modi, speaking on the first anniversary of the Smart City Mission at the Chhatrapati Shivaji sports Complex in Pune today, congratulated the residents of Udaipur and Jaipur on being selected for Smart City mission in the first phase.

He said that “citizens of both cities deserve gratitude as it is due to their efforts on fulfilling all the parameters in the stipulated time, that the cities were selected in the first phase itself”.

Four cities from Rajasthan, viz. Udaipur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Kota have been selected for Smart City in the first phase of the Smart City Mission.
