Nepal Flood Crisis: Rajasthan Releases Helpline Numbers

More than 400 tourists, which include around 142 Indian nationals, remain unaccounted for, as per the latest news reports

Udaipur, August 26 - The Disaster Management Department of the Government of Rajasthan has issued helpline numbers in view of the devastating flood disaster at Rasuwa district in northern Nepal to provide assistance and essential information.

If relatives require information or assistance regarding any person from Rajasthan who is currently travelling in Nepal, they may contact the State Emergency Operation Centre of the Disaster Management Department on toll-free numbers 1070 and 112. They may also contact 0141-2851960, 0141-2385776, 0141-2385777, 0141-2227296, 0141-2927392 and 0141-2227603.

As per the latest update on the Nepal catastrophic flash flooding which occurred on August 26, more than 160 people are confirmed dead while around 750 remain missing. Some of the missing are pilgrims to Kailash Mansarovar. More than 400 tourists, which include at least 142 Indian nationals, are reportedly unaccounted for. The death toll is expected to rise even as frantic rescue efforts continue.
