Approximately 160 Hectares of Land has been identified by RIICO for the development of a new Industrial Zone, at Sarada on the outskirts of Udaipur.

A proposal for this initiative has already been sent by RIICO to Jaipur for a final approval.  This was informed by the Managing Director of RIICO at the District Level Industrial Development Committee meeting that was held under the Chair of Collector Rohit Gupta on Monday.

He clarified that for facilitating this development, 90 Hectares of Government land and 70 Hectare of Private Land will be utilized.  Further, he informed that Rs 148 Lakh worth of work orders have also been released for the development of Madri and other industrial areas.

Other important decisions and instructions:

• 10.22 Hectare land at Amberi frozen for development
• Instructions to officers for initiating repair on the National Highway passing through Madri
• Action on industrial units that are not adhering to Pollution Control norms
• Completion of Paperwork for unlicensed drivers
