New Rs 8,585-Cr Expressway to Boost Logistics, Industry and Real Estate
Sept 2, 2026 - A budget of around Rs 8,585.51 crore has been approved by Uttar Pradesh government agency UPEIDA for a new approximately 74-km-long, six-lane expressway which will directly connect the Jewar Airport area with the Ganga Expressway near Bulandshahr. This is expected to provide significant benefits not only to passengers but also to industrial and commercial activities.
The proposed route will begin near Sector 21 and Film City, around the 24.8-km point of the Yamuna Expressway, and connect with the Ganga Expressway near Siyana in Bulandshahr. It will pass through approximately 56 villages. And once completed, the new expressway will also help connect the Jewar–Greater Noida belt with major commercial corridors such as NH-9. This is expected to reduce transportation time and logistics costs for freight movement.
Improved connectivity could open up new opportunities for warehouses, logistics parks and manufacturing units along the expressway. Better road connectivity is expected to increase demand for residential and commercial properties around the expressway.
The project is targeted for completion within the next three years and planned to be constructed in two phases.
- Phase 1: Approximately 24 km, from Bhaipur Brahman to Bichhaula.
- Phase 2: Approximately 50 km, from Bichhaula to Bhanpur.
The expressway will likely include seven underpasses, 14 small and large bridges, one flyover and four railway overbridges. A high-tech CCTV surveillance system will also be installed.
