UIT Secretary Ram Nivas Mehta has issued strict instructions related to providing Electricity Connections to illegal establishments across the city.

Mehta instructed Engineers of Ajmer Electricity Board (AVVNL) not to provide electricity connections to imposters who claim to be building on lakesides, UIT planned Kacchi Basti areas or under road networks with permission.

The reason for this was that after getting electricity connection, the owner gets an advantage while presenting his case of illegal construction under the ruling.

Officials were asked to be vigilant and increase their due diligence while considering such cases.
