The Non-teaching Worker’s Union of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University declared a mass leave and also protested in front of the Administrative block, today at 11 am.
Previously, the Union had given an application to the Vice-Chancellor on Oct. 15 2012 with reference to the problems of the staff regarding regularization of the posts, extension for tentative workers, which will be ending by October 31, 2012, etc.
Bharat Vyas, President of the Union of Non teaching staff of MLSU, alleged the Administration as well as the State Government, for not giving enough consideration to the problems of the workers and limiting their rights, which the workers will not tolerate anymore.
“University Vice-Chancellors are appointed on political grounds, as a result of which the Vice Chancellor is not able to talk about the problems, demands and rights of the workers and students”, said Karan Singh Shaktawat, President, Non Teaching Workers Union, MPUAT.
At the conclude of the protest, with the unanimous acceptance by all the staff of the University, it was decided that if the problems of the workers are still not solved, then all the staff will remain on leave for Oct 29 also, for which the University Administration and the State Govt. shall be responsible.
