Vending and No-vending zones

Going ahead with the clean city drive and making efforts to keep it organised as per smart city project, “No vending” zones have been declared in the city.

In a meeting at the office of Municipal Corporation, a plan declaring 14 “Vending”zones and 5 “No-vending” zones was agreed upon in the presence of Vending committee. Each vendor will pay 150 rupees as monthly rent. This amount will be utilised for the development of zones. This was the 5th meeting of Municipal corporation presided by Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Siddharth Sihag. President of Golden Jubilee Employment Scheme and TVC member Rakesh Porwal suggested that a vending zone be developed under Sevashram Bridge. This place was suggested since there is enough space which can accommodate parking as well. Vending and no-vending zones were discussed upon which will be finalised after the approval of State government.
