Appointed by High court, Nyaya Mitra S. Purohit and Vinit Sanadhya visited Udaipur and monitored Lake Pichola and Lake Fateh Sagar ascertaining the status of pollution and cleanliness in and around lakes.

They found many channels of sewage flowing into the water bodies especially from areas including Naaga Nagri, Ambapol, Maharaj Ghat and Panchdevariya. They were also told about the violators washing clothes in the lake and throwing waste in the water.

The Nyaya Mitra toured the lakeside with the officials of UIT as well who could say nothing about the present situation.
