Two of the most prominent Old City locations of Udaipur – Hathipol and Surajpol, will soon witness a much awaited solution to their parking woes. The district administration has solicited detailed project reports from companies for construction of mechanised parking spots at the Old Tanga Stand opposite Fateh Memorial at Surajpol and the Old Tanga Stand outside Jain Dharmshala at Hathipol. As communicated by Paras Singhvi of the UMC to media personnel, this process will give the administration an understanding of the estimated costs and the vehicle strength that can be absorbed in the parking spots.  The administration had earlier communicated that 8 such locations will be identified across the city.
