One lakh plantations to be done before monsoon

To maintain the natural beauty of Udaipur, it has been decided that one lakh plantations will be done before the arrival of monsoon. Instructions have been issued across all departments for planting trees.

Home Minister Kataria was addressing a meeting in UIT on Monday where plantation was the main agenda. He said that as per target Municipal Corporation, UIT and Forest Department will do 20000 plantations each. MLSU and Agricultural University will do 15 thousand plantations each. Other miscellaneous departments have also been asked to plant trees in their premises. Department of Education has been asked to take care of government and private schools.

Home minister also laid emphasis on plantations in Ratnagiri hills, Ramgiri, Gugla Magra, Goverdhan Vilas, Sajjangarh, Chirwa ghata, Badi and other hilly areas. Forest department has been given the responsibility of distributing plants across all departments. Dr.Shobhalal Audichya informed that Ayurveda department will take up the responsibility of planting 2000 herbal and medicinal plants.
