Open Gymnasium at Gulab Bagh under Smart City
First Phase of Smart City Projects to commence today
As a part of the Smart City project, the first phase of work will begin at various places today. Prominent among them will be construction of an Open Gym at Gulab Bagh, the work beginning today morning at 9:30am.
This will be followed by the commencing of work at Kanwarpada Public School in Jagdish Chowk, where Smart Class systems will be installed beginning 10am. Heritage Conversation project will commence opposite Heritage House at Jagdish Chowk at 10:30am, followed by installation of a solar plant at the Meera Bai Community Centre in Shivaji Nagar an hour later. Electric Tourist buses will start plying from the City Railway Station at 12pm, followed by the inauguration of the Command and Control centre in the UMC premises.

Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari informed that Gulabchand Kataria will be doing the inaugural honors for all the projects today. An award ceremony is scheduled at 4:30pm today in Gulab Bagh, where winners of events and competitions held under the Smart City concept will be honored.
The total allotment for projects in the first phase is Rs. 9.72 Crore, of which a whooping Rs. 5.99 Crore will be spent on the Heritage Conservation project.
