In order to provide a life of dignity the district administration is going to commence the ‘Operation Samvedana’ for the rehabilitation and social security of the beggars and the destitute people of the city.

Collector Rohit Gupta informed that in this one-of-a-kind effort, the efficient magistrate will come forward to provide health services to the beggars in addition to proper rehab services & employment opportunities to drug addicts. For this, CMHO & Dept of Social Justice & Empowerment will do the needful.

The aim behind this operation is to make Udaipur a beggar-free city. Police, administration and NGOs will link the destitute to the social security schemes. Nagar Nigam will mark the slums in the city and arrange for their relocation with the help of Dept of Social Justice & Empowerment, UIT and Labor Dept.
