The future of resumption of city bus services would be decided in a meeting scheduled at UMC on 24^th September. The meeting agenda includes discussion on the financials quoted by operators and finalizing the operator.

Sources informed that UMC has received applications from two interested operators for running city buses. Post resumption, bus service will be available on two routes across city. Around 8 buses per route will be engaged for this service, say sources.

Team comprising officials from UMC will select the operator on 24^th September. Post the selection, fare for using the service by general public will also be announced.

The selected operator will have to deploy new buses for this service. The bus service will be available for public from 9 am to 8 pm daily.
