An outdoor section has been initiated in Women Hospital at MB where initially four technicians will be stationed for conducting basic tests of pregnancy and gynecology. The service will begin within a week.

This comes as a welcome move by MB Hospital whereby pregnant women will no longer have to wait in queues for getting their pregnancy and gynecology tests done at Central Lab in main wing of MB Hospital.

However, tests including VDRL, HBS-AG, Thyroid and Sugar, will still be conducted in the central lab.

“The service will begin in a week. Required machine has been purchased for the outdoor section and technicians are under training for the same. Basic tests will now be carried out in outdoor of Women Hospital related to pregnancy and gynecology, including CBC test”, said Dr. Rajrani Sharma, Women Hospital.
