The much awaited passport office in Udaipur is all set to be operational from Feb 2017. This information was recently given by D M Mulay, Additional Secretary (consular, passport, visa and overseas Indian affairs).

Mulay had strong words of appreciation for the citizens of Udaipur. He said that the citizens lobbied really hard to get the passport seva kendra(PSK) in Udaipur and as a result of which their mission will be accomplished.

Readers may note that community center at Patho ki Magri has been chosen as the location for the PSK. Foreign ministry had signed an agreement with Udaipur Municipal Corporation in this regard on March 30,2016.

With PSK set to be fully operational, Udaipurites will breathe a sigh of relief for not having to visit Jodhpur and Jaipur for their passport related errands.
