Renaming of 3 roads was undertaken today in the Municipal Corporation Cultural Committee meeting held today under the Chairmanship of Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari.

Jagdish Chandra Menaria, President, Municipal Corporation Cultural Committee (MCCC) welcomed all present in the meeting. Suresh Singh Yadav, member of the MCCC, presented a report on behalf of the nomenclature committee that was formed in the last meeting. As part of the report, it was proposed to change the name of the road from Patel Circle to Goverdhan Vilas as “Sardar Patel Marg”. It was also proposed to name Mali Colony Chauraha as Vankal Mata Chauraha. Madri Gariyawas Chauraha was proposed to be renamed as Parshuram Chauraha. All members present gave their consent on the proposal.

On another agenda item, Menaria informed that this year’s Hariyali Amavasya Mela will be held on 23 and 24 July. The fair will be open to all on 23-July and will be held for women on 24-July.
