Health Ministry will now be closely monitoring the conditions of lab and testing machines in Government Hospitals. Any doctor found sending patients outside for tests will be questioned.

 

Health Ministry will now be closely monitoring the conditions of lab and testing machines in Government Hospitals. Any doctor found sending patients outside for tests will be questioned.

E-Upkaran, software for Inventory Management System will be launched by State Government on 15th August. Using its four modules, status of machines to daily reports will be monitored by officials.

Dr. Prem Singh, Nodal Officer said that, “The doctors sending patients outside to get tests done, which should ideally be carried out in the government hospital facility will be tracked and questioned with the help of this software. The regularity of doctors and conditions of machines will also be monitored.”

Four Modules of the software, viz. Inventory, Repair, Usage and Demand will be the key to the whole system. In the first phase government hospitals of District will be linked to this software. In second phase CHS and PHC will also be linked to the software.
