Pay Challan later, if caught with Original Driving License

If a two-wheeler rider has his original driving license and gets a challan for not wearing a helmet, then the concerned person can choose to not to pay immediately. According to the rule, the rider can collect the challan memo (challan form) and pay later, within the stipulated time.

On Wednesday morning, police administration imparted this rule to all other officers. This is in concern to the instances where the violators had to park their two-wheeler at the circle and go to Udiapol to pay for the challan.

Traffic Police SI Goverdhan Lal informed that a violator will have to show the original license. Police constable will give the challan memo with the time estimated to be 2, 3 or 5 days for the pay. After collecting the memo, the violator can move ahead, only to pay the challan amount in time.
