The initiative ‘FIR E-Status Scheme’ started this year by Udaipur police will now provide information of pendency, invoice and FR status to people. Under this scheme, the police has now started updating cases online on the official website.

Ajaypal Lamba, SP said that all SHOs are mandated to update all the cases’ information under specific links on the website. The commoners will get all necessary information about the FIRs lodged in 2011.

On the official police website, after clicking on ‘FIR E-Status,’ the person has to submit details about district, station circle, FIR number, name, father’s name and mobile number. Within seconds, the status SMS will be sent to the mobile phone.

However, the police situated at remote areas is facing difficulty in updating information on a regular basis as they have to wait either for the network or update info from DSP’s office.
