Aggressive helmet drive by the Traffic Police witnessed a total of 181 Challans being issued in two hours.

The drive to enforce the use of helmet took an aggressive turn today when Police were checking riders near Police stations, at major circles and even in areas where Police is least expected.

Continuing the drive today, many of the vehicle riders were seen dodging the police by taking lanes instead of main roads but also many were caught. Though, at some places police refrained from making challans and tried to convey the message verbally.

On the same note, it is possible that on the orders of District General Police, pillion riders in Udaipur, too have to wear helmet along with the rider from the next month.

On the other hand, District Petroleum Dealer Welfare Society stated that they cannot force a customer to wear helmet every time they come to the filling stations. A memorandum for the same will be presented tomorrow.
