UIT demolished a platform at Fatehsagar chowpati on Thursday under anti-encroachment drive.As per reports, the platform was made at a prohibited area along side Fatehsagar Lake.

 UIT Chairman Ram Niwas Mehta said that his office received information about an illegally constructed platform in prohibited area at Fatehsagar chowpati. A team from UIT went to the lake side and demolished this platform.

It was also reported that Commissioner Siddharth Sihag gave directions for issuing notice to the cabin operator whose cabin was just adjacent to this platform. A team from Municipal Corporation pasted a notice on the cabin itself. As per this notice, the cabin operator has been asked to remove the cabin from this prohibited area failing which action would be taken against him. Police team and other administrative officers were present during this time.
