As per the ongoing plans, Rajasthan villages are to undergo a facelift. Panchayati raj and Rural development department have outlined a new project as per which every village will have a beautiful public park with flora and fauna, these parks will also have a gym where people will be able to perform yoga and exercise as well. The lanes will be developed to create an example of cleanliness and streetlights will also be put up. A play ground is also on the agenda.

These changes have been thought over as per the suggestion of yog guru Baba Ramdev and the plan has been initiated by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Rural development Minister Rajendra Rathore which is being included in the forthcoming budget. As per Mr. Rathore, plans are being made wherein every village will be developed and all the above mentioned steps will be taken. 44,795 villages will be developed under this project initially.

Last year on the event of foundation day of Mahrana Pratap Indoor Stadium ion Udaipur, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had declared the development of a playground in every Gram Panchayat. She had also mentioned the need of regional talent to move forward in bringing accolades for Rajasthan state on both National and International level. Gram Panchayat will be developing these playgrounds to provide training to the talented players.

In 2015-16 budget, Rural development and Panchayati raj department was allotted 5500 crore rupees approximately. Out of this 56.30 percent was directly transferred to Gram Panchayats, 26.13 percent to Jila Parishad and 17.10 percent to Panchayat Committees.
