Having agreed to an Internet curfew in the city once again, this time under the guise of preventing copying at the aforementioned exam, the administration is still apprehensive of possible cheating at the centers.
Mobile jammers and CCTV cameras apart from tight security checks at the examination centers will ensure that the candidates as well as those administering the exams will be proceeding with their tasks amidst a controlled and monitored environment – making things more comfortable.
56, 928 candidates, spread over two day window, will be appearing for the examination at centers across the city. Entry to the exam centers will cease 30 minutes before the exam commences. ID Cards and admit cards are mandatory for entry to exam centers. Even policemen will not be allowed to enter the center without ID cards.
Apart from the above security aspects, no mobiles will be permitted in the exam centers. Cleaning staff, administrative staff, invigilators as well as members of the flying squad will not be permitted to carry mobile phones in the center. A thorough search operation will be conducted in the centers.
500 police personnel have been deployed to ensure that the exam process is conducted smoothly. Brijesh Soni conducted a conference at the Police Lines Conference room on 13 July to update the proceedings and allocate tasks for the exam window.
Hopefully Internet services shutdown, due to which small business and the common man is affected, will not be resorted to for Board examinations, IITJEE Exam, NEET, CA, ICWA, UPSC and other such competitive exams.
